About SSSS

The main aim of SSSS is to provide opportunities for Over 50 super seniors (a loose term to indicate anyone above 40) to socialise and play competitive football in tournaments and friendly matches.

There are many loose reference e.g. veterans, masters, seniors and legends, and here at SSSS we have categorised all as super seniors according to age groups with a decade difference e.g. 40, 50, 60, 70 etc.

As of date, there are not many avenues for those Over 50 to travel and play competitive tournaments around the world. As we grow wiser day by day, one of the best recreation is to play + travel/tour + socilaise with new and old friends.

Apart from meeting the needs of the age categories, SSSS caters for women too. There will be more events for women in years to come.

Competitive yet Conducive

SSSS believes in allowing a blending of competitiveness with fun and social. We want participants to not only attend this tournament solely for competitive football but to come early or extend their stay post tournament to enjoy the many interesting aspects of Malaysian life style.

SSSS tournaments are crafted to provide a conducive environment - allowing participants not only to play but have space for social, networking and tours. Among the factors taken into consideration are age, weather and medical conditions. Most of our tournaments are held at late evening or night when the temperature is lower.

A bigger aim of SSSS is to collaborate with other entities from around the world to have a World Series for Over 50 and Over 60.

SSSS welcomes other organiser to join hand in designing tournaments in their respective countries and collaborate with SSSS for a World Series.

Most of all, the participation of corporate sectors to sponsor these tournaments is crucial to ensure these tournaments survives to a greater height. SSSS welcomes corporate entities that are keen to sponsor or partner in these tournaments. It will surely be a win-win situation!

SSSS hold fast to its ethos, Safe - Adventure - Fun - Entertainment (SAFE) and believes that at an age of Over 50, it is not the winning a competitive soccer tournament that gives the utmost pleasure but the joy earned through meeting old and new friends, laughing over old times and the bloopers and greatness on the pitch, getting acquainted to tournament opponents, socialising, networking, having variety of food, drinks and touring around and having a good fun with family and friends!

Why SSSS Tournaments Are Different?

SSSS's tournaments comes with a few changes to the conventional tournaments norms.

The main aim of SSSS is to allow participants of the tournament to experience more than just competitive football in a conducive and enjoyable environment.

Evening/Night Matches

One of the main consideration when SSSS formulates tournaments for O40, O50 & O60 is the 'heat factor'.

SSSS will avoid the noon time matches and where possible will only arrange for morning and evening matches, when pitches are available.

Evenings are peak hours for pitch rental, the cost is absorbed into the tournament participation fee and SSSS is very sure that all participants will prefer to play under the flood lights and cooler temperature.

Pitch & Footware

In case of bad weather or bad condition of the Grass Pitch, the organiser will consider opting for Astro Turf pitches. Early notice will be given. As we are all aware, Mother Nature has its own way of behaving!

Alternative:

Prepare foot ware for both pitches - Grass & Astro Turf.
You may purchase near the tournament venue at our official sports shop.

Travel/Medical Insurance

Travel/Medical Insurance is a must for any non-Malaysian not residing in Malaysia, participating in SSSS Tournaments. It is best to safe guard both parties – organiser and participants and the next of kins.

EAD & Medical Reddiness

Medical reddiness is our priority at tournament venues to meet any unexpected health issue of participants. Ambulances and medical assistants will be ready to assist in any eventualities. AED and other First Aid Kits will be available at all tournament venues.

Health & Safety

Health and Safety is SSSS priority! Please do also help SSSS by providing your health condition information before participating in any of its tournaments AED and other First Aid Kits will be at handy at all tournament venues

Health Info – Participants who has existing medical conditions need to provide details to the organiser who will then liaise with the relevant medical officer/specialist. This is for precautionary purpose and to provide the best assistance in case of any health issues at the tournaments.

Medal replaced with Award Ribbon, Pennants & Certificate

SSSS is going to introduce award ribbons and pennants to replace metal medals for winners and participants. Not only is this environment friendly but it would be easy to travel with and to be pinned at home or club as collections. There will only be prize money, challenge trophy, award ribbons and certificates in SSSS tournaments.

Data Base of Super Seniors

SSSS is ambitious that in a few years time, a data base with still active football players Over 40, Over 50 and Over 60 from around the world will be available.

Once this happens, ranking will be available, which will then lead to big organisations and corporates buying players to represent their team.

Socialising & Networking

Networking is something that comes along socialising and sports. SSSS hopes to make its tournaments as a venue for personal or business networking.

Socialising is an important part of SSSS tournaments. Over 50 segments needs to get away from the normal routines and chill out with old and new friends.
